Ghassan Kassabji is a highly accomplished senior executive with more than 30 years of success in business development, marketing, and brand building across the USA, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon.
Prior to returning to TBWA\RAAD in 2017 to lead Nissan United and business development, Ghassan was Chief Executive Officer at Rise General Trading, a National Holding company in the UAE, where he also served on multiple boards within the group. Prior to joining Rise, Ghassan Spent more than 13 years with TBWA\RAAD in the Middle East serving as Managing Director for the marketing communication agency’s regional office in Dubai and head of the Saudi operations after working as managing partner for the agency’s affiliate in Beirut. During his tenure, he oversaw restructuring and expansion projects, generated triple-digit growth revenues in key accounts, and achieved international recognition for the company. Ghassan also contributed to his company achieving Most Awarded status in the GCC at Cannes Lions in 2012.
Prior to TBWA, Ghassan was Sales & Marketing Director for Casino du Liban in Lebanon where he was responsible for the establishment of the Sales & Marketing Department following the relaunch of the Casino. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Marketing & Business Development Manager for Rizk Advertising & Associates in Lebanon (later TBWA\RIZK). Prior to Rizk, Ghassan held the position of Business Development Manager for Jeraisy Group’s Riyadh House Establishment from 1994 to 1995, and served as Marketing Director, Safelite Glass Corporation in the US from 1990 to 1994. He commenced his career as Sales Associate with the Micro Center in the US (1986-1990), gaining promotion to Apple Department Sales Manager and then Department Marketing Manager.
Ghassan believes that learning is an on-going journey. He recently attended The Wharton School of Business Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania and obtained a certificate in Digital Marketing Strategies. He also obtained a certificate From Columbia University on Digital Strategy. Ghassan has a BS in Mathematics and an MBA in Marketing. He has language capabilities in Arabic, English and French.
